Tello is a great little drone and perfect to throw in a bag making it great for travel use. But for those who want the extra protection for the more delicate parts of the Tello it’s worth considering getting a Tello drone case to keep it safe.
Almost immediately after the Tello drones release a generic carry case has become available. Its a great little case at 22 x 7.5cm in size and weighing only 267 grams. It is made of PU + EVA material so is scratch and water resistant, perfect for all situations.
One really nice thing about the case is that you don’t have to prepare the drone in any way, the Tello fits in with the prop guards still attached. So you can literally just unzip, take out Tello and you are ready to fly!
This Tello case is not only great for keeping the props safe it’s useful to keep all your flight gear in one place. As well as the Tello drone, the case holds 3 additional batteries, a USB charging cable and there is even a net pouch for spare props or prop guards.
The only thing you won’t be able to store in the case is an additional bluetooth controller if you decide to purchase one, but Tello can be controlled directly from a phone or tablet so this is not an issue for most people.
Having a case may add a bit more weight and bulk to carry a drone but it is a great way to have piece of mind that all your kit is organised and ready to go all in one safe place. Theres nothing worse than heading out to fly somewhere, only to get there and realise your drone has taken some damage on the trip there.
